After coming home from active duty as a Marine, I found myself at home waking to the smell of my mother’s chai in the morning, reminding me of what chai represents and what I had been missing; connectedness and rebirth after experiencing the military.

After the military, I found myself stepping into a new career in the alcohol beverage industry, launching a single malt whisky from India as a U.S. Country Manager. During that time, I often traveled back to India for work. While in India, I spent time visiting my grandparents and spent four months backpacking, where I not only fell in love with Masala Chai, but I fell in love with my culture and heritage.

You may be thinking this is where Moksha began, but after parting with the beverage industry after twelve years, I then shifted my passion towards healing the planet and transitioned into climate technology. This is where I became passionate about environmentalism and why sustainability is the foundation of Moksha.

This new chapter led me from Chicago to Denver igniting the next chapter of my life rooted in health and wellness. I would define my time in Colorado as my next rebirth; the mountains have a way of doing that. During my time here, my mother, Nayana, hiked Mount Kailash in Nepal for her spiritual awakening and it brought me back eight years ago when I was backpacking India. It was then I knew it was time for my next awakening; to share the roots that make me who I am. I am a combination of the many journeys before me, leading me to the journey that is now Moksha. My next awakening.
